My Happy Spot

When patients are obvious agitated by visiting my urgent care clinic, I advise them to go to their "Happy Place" to help relax.

I used to imagine my "Happy Place" as the front lawn of the 'big house' in Toddville. The main drag through town ran directly in front of our house - said to be the oldest in town and had been used as the 'Haunted House' around Halloween for several years prior to our acquisition. The hillside of the lawn was held back by a 3' wall of rocks covered with chicken wire. The rocks in there were so fascinating but I knew not to take them out or the whole lawn would tumble into the road! Laying out in the lush grass under a great cloud day where the sky is filled with any animal you could imagine. There were two geese waddling about, sometimes snipping at me playfully.
Or wandering along the creek. I would dig up clay and work with the mess underneath the bridge.  Staring at the lush green along the crystal water. Watching for snakes and fish and crawdads! Oh My!
